Senior Finance Manager – Planning & Analysis (SRS)

$125K plus bonus

Mid-size Consumer Products Company is looking for a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis manager to direct the responsibilities of corporate financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis. Applicant must have recent HANDS ON experience creating and preparing P&L’s; as well as managing a small team of financial analysts. Sr. Manager will work with the VP of Accounting and Finance to develop operating and strategic financial plans for revenue projections. Furthermore; they will manage responsibility for quarterly and annual worldwide sales and operating profit analysis, establish financial targets and plans, analyze actual results, project trends, and recommend actions to achieve financial objectives. Candidates must have experience working in consumer products to be able to perform the Brand / Trade Spend Finance and Retail Channel analysis.

• Plan, develop and coordinate corporate forecast and budget.

• Reporting and analysis of actual results against forecast and/or budget.

• Prepare monthly financial analysis of variance between forecast and operating results for all P&L lines.

• Partner with departments to provide financial support to make sound business decisions.

• Support new product development process with financial planning and analysis.

• Manage staff of 2 associates.

• Business Intelligence tool/flash reporting analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. MBA preferred

• 5 – 8 years of direct management of staff.

• 7 – 10 years of hands on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting experience with strong analytical skills.

• Consumer Products industry background, including retail channel analysis for promotional programs. International preferred.

• Report design and preparation skills: Oracle, Access, Business Intelligence tools and strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint.
