This position is responsible for providing financial support to the Supply Chain organization as well as to the Corporate Finance team. The Manager reports to the Director of Supply Chain Finance.
The Manager will work closely with the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT)to support the strategies that contribute to the continued growth and health of the company. This individual will workclosely with the EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) to provide analysis that helps support decisions related to thedevelopment, execution and implementation of supply chain strategies. The Manager will also work with the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis in support of the budgeting and projection processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the lead financial support for the Director of Supply Chain Finance.
Work with CSCO and the Director of Supply Chain Finance to prioritize financial initiatives.
Act as a thought partner to the SCLT in establishing and delivering financial objectives.
Prepare weekly/monthly financial projections and own the process for the development of seasonal budgets.
Manage the process for loading and validation of standard costs.
Develop tools and manage costmodel to measure and track activity based costing.
Create and administer periodic reports designed to facilitate detailed analytics on key drivers, cost loads, and variances.
Act as liaison to CSCO and the Director of Supply Chain Finance for corporate and confidential analysis & documentation.
Staffing/Structure:
Direct the work of others (with no direct line authority) in gathering, analyzing and reporting various types of information.
Provide support and partnership to SCLT members (initiative sponsors) to quantify the financial impact of all initiatives.
Financial:
Provide support for the establishment of budget targets for all members of the SCLT and work with them to monitor progress on a monthly basis
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and present ideas to the CSCO and Director of Supply Chain Finance
Keep Corporate Finance team aware of progress towards financial objectives via regular projection updates and identification of additional risks and opportunities
Perform analysis for ad hoc projects, including ROI analysis on all projects and initiatives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degreein Accounting or Finance – MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Superior analytical, technical and interpersonal skills
At least 5 years of experience, in roles of increasing responsibility within the finance function of an organization(s),with strong skills in financial planning/analysis, modeling, systems, accounting and reporting. Some background in theretail or consumer packaged goods industries, the supply chain function and/or activity based costing would be a plus.
Ability to work as a business partner with all businessunits, corporate and executive leadership is essential. Individual must be able to direct the work of others (with no direct line authority) in gathering, analyzing and reportingof different types of information.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large/small groups and one-on-one. Strong executive presence is critical.
Ability to manage and work effectively on multiple workstreams simultaneously with minimal oversight. Strongorganizational prioritization and time management skills are essential.
PC skill proficiency is a must – MicrosoftOffice applications including Excel, Access and PowerPoint – working knowledge of SAP highly desirable
