The Finance department is responsible for accurately reporting the financial position of the company on a monthly basis. In addition, the Finance department is responsible for establishing operational controls related to financial activities and preparing the fiscal budget for which the company is measured against, as well as preparing monthly forecasts and other weekly/monthly reports. The department also handles Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Management, and assists with the Royalties process. Finally, the department is a partner to all other departments with regards to their operations and making strategic decisions that benefit the company.

High Level Job Description:

Manage daily operations of the Finance department. Supervise 3 Finance staff members in processing the month-end close, prepare monthly forecasts, review invoices and statements from distributors.

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:

· Managing month-end close, reporting, and general ledger and financial statement analysis for US and Canada divisions

· Assisting with preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts

· Supervision of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Cash Management

· Managing staff of 3 Finance department employees in performing the above duties

· Review monthly statements received from distributors

· Assist with Royalty review and payment

· Managing audit process with external auditors

· Other ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed

Required Competencies/Skills:

Special Requirements/Preferences:

· Minimum 6 years of varied accounting experience including public or internal audit and private/management accounting with supervisory experience

· Music industry experience preferable

· Experience working with and analyzing large amounts of data

· Demonstrated understanding of GAAP, financial controls, process analysis and risk assessment

· Must thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize

· Must understand big picture yet have a “roll up sleeves” work ethic

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferable
