Leads and oversees CM NY Regional IT Finance team which manages the project portfolio in Capital Markets IT to ensure IT development and support for CM Finance. Candidate must ensure CM Finance is supported regionally in terms of application support development, projects & prognosis strategic goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget, and that development is in alignment with Global Strategies.
Key Accountabilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Understanding GAAP and IFRS
• Seeks out securities industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions for System Development & Support IT Finance.
• Facilitates the integration of technology solutions.
• Promotes innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implements best practices.
• Directs development of technology application solutions to reflect and support critical business processes and strategic plans.
• Researches and adopts optimal IT solutions based on knowledge and understanding of business needs.
• Translates client vision into high level scope and design.
• Works closely with business stakeholders to ensure their expectations are met.
• Transforms business objectives into technical strategies for applications.
• Identifies and acquires resources and skills required to successfully develop and implement application solutions.
• Develops plans and manages many (and sometimes competing) priorities while still producing high quality results.
• Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves project issues and escalates to senior management where required.
• Researches emerging trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business strategies.
• Integrates project plans at business unit level creating estimating models as required, refines plan and manages performance against it.
• Facilitates schedule and cost forecasting and mentors IT Finance development manager, program managers and project managers in determining risk based provisions.
• Champions strong IT governance
• Identifies and manages IT Finance overall programs costs and budgets.
• Anticipates and quantifies tactical, operational and strategic risks applying risk-based approach to forecasting.
• Resolves complex issues and conflicts (including architectural direction vs. project constraints); escalates to executive level where required.
• Resolves ambiguity.
• Determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
• Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
• Identifies technical and business opportunities to take advantage of cross project knowledge, best practices and reusability to expedite projects.
• Consultant on technical and management direction for strategic projects with a focus on the cross-divisional strategies.
• Supporting execution against business-specific SLAs to balance needs of business & efficiency objectives of GTO
• Understanding operating costs and TCO to assist in project/application portfolio decisions
• Understanding application lifecycle decisions
• Aligning application investment governance with application strategy
• Delivering high quality projects, ontime, on-budget, with agreed business functionality and benefits
• Facilitates the integration of technology solutions.
• Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationship with business partner.
• Collaborates with colleagues across the organization to get things done.
• Manages projects and programs communications including status reports to all stakeholders.

• Successfully and simultaneously managed multiple Finance projects with emphasis on some of the following:
o Knowledge of Financial/Requirements
o Financial Background
o New Technology
Education
• PMP Designation (a requirement)
• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
