This position will serve as a member of the Office of Budget & Planning and will focus on two primary functions. First, this position will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and monitoring of short and long term financial/budgetary forecasting models and funding plans to support the University’s fiscal and capital development. Responsibilities will include monitoring revenue and expenditures, analyzing variances, performing cost analysis studies and cost/benefit studies and preparing both regular and special reports. Individual should be able to select appropriate methods of data collection and data analysis and report conclusions, implications, and recommendations. Second, this position will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining budget data for position management within HR system and the budget system and performing routine audits to validate financial system budget data agrees with position budget data.
This position requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 7+ years experience.
Master’s degree (MBA, MPA) and/or CPA preferred. The position requires 7+ years of experience. Applicants with five or more of those years of progressively responsible budget/ financial experience in higher education, non-profit environment, and/or private sector and a strong financial systems background will be given preference. Applicants with strong analytical skills, including interpretation, reporting and trend analysis are highly desired
