Position Description:

Actuals

Preparation of Monthly Financial Expense consolidation for North America IT and CICA International countries in USD

o Includes preparation, review, and distribution of monthly reporting package for Global IT, North America IT, and International IT.

o Preparation and review of detailed departmental breakdowns with IT area summaries.

o Work with IT Finance Director to determine necessary accruals, adjustments, and reclass journal entries for North America Application Development.

Plan

Assist North America Application Development Managers and the International IT Management with the finalization of the annual IT Expense Plan

o Work with Application Development Managers to develop annual expense plan goals

o Work with Senior IT Management at each of the UK, Australian, and Germany locations to develop annual expense plan goals

o Control the input of all application development expense plan into the company budgeting forms and templates – checking accuracy and balancing of total expenses

o Work with CICA Infrastructure Vice President to provide information to Ace for shared service needs. Negotiate shared service expense rates with Ace.

o Preparation of North America Application Development Capital spending plan

o Preparation of International Capital spending plan.

o Contribute to the Consolidation of Global IT Spend Plan for review and revision with Director of IT Finance.

o Work with Director of IT Finance on preparation of Global IT Spend expense Plan presentation to CIO and COO

Forecast

Month/Annual expense forecasts for NA Application Development and CICA International countries

o Collect and report monthly expense variances and explanations.

o Review NA expense variances with Director of IT Finance prior to review with CIO and CFO

o Review International IT expense variances with International Managers/Director of IT Finance prior to review with CIO and COO

o Collect and report total IT Spend with variance explanations for Application Development and International IT

o Collect and report Direct/Charges-In/Charges-Out for all International locations.

o Work with IT Managers and International managers to improve processes to report data accurately, timely, and consistently.

o Develop consistent collection and reporting tools and schedules for North America IT and all International countries.

o Document data definitions for North America IT and International countries for management reporting.

o Prepare monthly and annual expense forecasts for IT Management including any necessary action required to manage IT costs to achieve budget.

o Provide monthly and annual Global IT Spend forecasts working with Director of IT Finance for presentation to CIO, COO, and CICA Finance area

o Work with International IT Management at the project level to ensure expense plans are achieved

Expense Management

* For North America Application Development and International countries understand monthly expense variances, create forecasts, identify savings opportunities, assist in the management of operating expenses, understand and explain expense risks, timing issues, and assist in the quarterly and/or year end accrual process with the purpose of achieving the annual IT expense plan

* Work with North America Application Development and International IT Management to document, understand and offset unusual expense variances in their respective areas

* Line of Business IT Expense for NA Applications Development and International countries

o Working with NA and International IT Management and CICA Corporate Accounting, create, document, and communicate IT development expense charge-out-rates for Lines of Business

o Balance, and create presentation formats for monthly/quarterly reviews of IT expense charge-outs for each Line of Business.

Project Financial Tracking (Detailed)

Working with Director of IT Finance, develop, maintain and report on detailed project financial tracking

o Determine best short and long term tracking methodology

o Efficiently implement short term tracking factoring in possible long term tracking strategies

o Provide reliable and timely project by project Actuals, Forecast, and Budget data for IT and Corporate Management

o Provide reliable and timely project by project Expense, Capitalization, Amortization, and Spend data for IT and Corporate Management

o Provide reliable and timely multi-year tracking for projects

Financial Analysis

Perform financial analysis as needed to support CICA IT Management

o Prepare financial pages for presentation to Senior Management

o Ad hoc analysis as needed

International

International community point of contact for:

o Financial Reporting

o Conduit between International IT Management and CICA IT and Corporate Accounting

o Capital Spending

o Accounting and expense inquiries

o Preparation of Global IT Spend report

Miscellaneous

In support of IT Finance and/or CICA Corporate Accounting:

o Create IT Finance process documentation with input from IT management

o Working with IT Finance director develop and implement process and control improvements

o Maintain confidential information for Director of IT Finance and Senior IT Management such as pay rates, bonus targets, and pay grades NA Applications Development and International IT personnel
