The MRL Finance Analyst II – Grants Processor is responsible for processing Legacy Schering-Plough R&D grants through GMS (Grants Management System). Key responsibilities include:
- Through GMS, review all necessary documentation for policy compliance (i.e. contracts, RFCs, approval authorization levels) and approve requests for funding for external R&D costs, which are referred to as grants in MRL.
- Through GMS, review and approve invoices and payment requests generated against the approved grants.
- Review and post monthly system generated accruals and manual accruals as provided by the business unit.
- Ensure SOX compliance is maintained.
- Provide support for audits of GMS and SOX testing.
- Work closely with business unit GMS users, providing assistance and training as required.
- Responsible for daily maintenance of GMS such as the reconciliation of GMS to AP and vendor maintenance.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of two years financial experience in related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills necessary
- Familiarity with MS Excel and Word
