The ideal candidate will have Minimum of 12-15 years experience as an Financial Analyst/Finance mgr in a fast pace, team driven and successful environment. An overview of the responsibilities will include working within one or more of the 3 divisions to provide business analysis, and decision support, new product financial evaluations, support for M&A, and to develop a comprehensive view of the divisional P&L by LOB, region and customer. Additionally, a strong emphasis of the role will be business partnering, providing advice, financial support and counsel to the SVP. The specific responsibilities include:
· Support Synaptics Planning Process (SPP) cadence.
· Create and maintain LOB, customer and Regional P&L’s with special attention to changes in pricing and cost and the impact to revenue and margin
· Analyze project/product investment opportunities – provide recommendations to management as to preferred course of action
· Work with Marketing Product Managers and Engineering Program managers to provide financial support for new product planning (MRD’s and SOA’s) to help ensure that the right products with the appropriate ROI are funneled into the development pipeline.
· Provide financial oversight including monitoring operating expenses to ensure spending does not exceed budget and that funds are spent in accordance with company policies.
· Provide support for M&A opportunities as they arise
· Act as business advisor/partner to the VP’s for each of the respective divisions to support business analysis and decision support
· Develop and prepare key management reporting including key metrics that provide timely, meaningful and relevant information that will assist management to deliver on objectives
· Perform ad hoc analysis and periodic reporting as required.
Job Requirements:
· 12-15 years experience in a financial analyst/management role
· Demonstrated experience in preparing and interpreting financial information for senior management.
· Experience developing, recommending and implementing solutions to complex business issues.
· Must have advanced understanding of spreadsheet modeling, financial analysis and Powerpoint skills.
· Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization plus the ability to work independently and in teams.
· Experience with enterprise-wide financial planning software systems (Hyperion and Oracle).
· Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems, excellent analytical ability, strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work issues across functions.
· Strong team orientation, highly motivated, and have the ability to effectively interface with and present results to all levels of management.
· Ability to complete detailed analyses in the context of the larger business perspective is critical.
· Excellent time management, project management and listen skills are required, as the person will be working in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.
