Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related course of study. Minimum of 10 years of corporate development experience to include securitizations, asset purchases, and sales in the consumer loan industry.

Description:
Director of Corporate Development will provide the company with capacity to respond to opportunities to acquire or divest assets and entities as current corporate strategy requires. Research, identify and recommend strategic opportunities to advance and achieve broad corporate objectives.
Job Functions / Responsibilities:
50% Manage Acquisition, Sale and Securitization Process:
Manage the sales and acquisitions process involving residential mortgage loans, mortgage assets, consumer loans and corporate entities. Participate in and coordinate with various departments in the review, negotiation, and preparation of deal related legal documents, purchase agreements, side letters, PSA’s, confidentiality agreements, custodial agreements, servicing agreements, etc.
Maintain working relationships with investors, hedge funds, banks, and various other market participants and consumer finance competitors to identify candidates and portfolios for acquisition or opportunities for divestiture. Conduct surveillance of deals post close in order to make adjustments where necessary and insure that the company contractual obligations are being met.
15% Market Analysis and Planning. Conduct Market Analysis to develop, modify, and execute tactical and operational plans and programs to meet strategic corporate objectives.
15% Manages Special Projects: Coordinate Home Office Departmental activity in the development of new products, procedures and market initiatives in support of corporate objectives.
10% Consumer Finance Channel: Support Operations to opportunistically acquire various consumer finance branches/portfolios and companies as they become available. Cultivate existing relationships with targeted consumer finance competitors that may desire to retire/divest their holdings in the near future.
5% Reporting: Communicate and report on the status of department projects, initiatives and resources as required.
5% Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.
Authority/Judgment/Discretion
This position creates and directs departmental goals consistent with AGFS organization goals. This position is also responsible for managing and directing the performance of assigned departmental staff.
