TBWA, a worldwide advertising network with offices in over 70 countries, is currently seeking an Associate Finance Manager in the New York office. The Associate Finance Manager will:

  • Assist with the financial oversight of the agencies in the region
  • Perform both financial and operational reviews
  • Review actual results and budgets/reforecasts and investigate variances
  • Participate in working capital activities, including credit reviews
  • Assist in ensuring regional compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and Company policies
  • Continue the development and application of financial controls and accounting policies
  • Work with regional management, as well as the agency CFOs to collect, analyze and report key metrics to management and other analyses as appropriate
  • Liase with diverse levels of corporate and divisional finance management and staff, both domestically and internationally
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and assist with projects as needed and appropriate

The right candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of public accounting experience required and additional experience in the private sector a plus
  • CPA of CPA equivalent strongly preferred
  • Experience in the advertising, marketing, media or related industries a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills including the ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proven ability to work well independently and in a team environment across functions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Ability to work toward and meet established deadlines
  • Commitment to consistency, quality and accuracy
  • Ability and willingness to take direction
  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative and strong work ethic are essential
  • Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint; experience with Hyperion Enterprise a plus
