Investment Accountant
Texas Life seeks an individual for our Investment Accounting Department. This position is responsible for review and tie-out of quarterly accounting packages (STAT and GAAP), file management, assisting in the identification of reporting issues, and assisting in the preparation of GAAP footnotes related to asset class, ratings & maturity distributions, underwater duration, FASB 157, etc.
Position requires 3 to 5 years of investment accounting experience, knowledge of statutory, GAAP and tax investment accounting principles, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong analytical capabilities and good organizational skills. Candidate should have an understanding of the PAM and CAMRA platforms, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
